verb : 1..to give a professional character or status to; make into or establish as a profession. 2.. to become professional.

Web page design is not my thing, or at least it wasn't before. In creating the new layout for Sound Pro Studios web page I've taken some baby steps forward in my skills of web design. The old home of Sound Pro Studios had been created with a simple server provided application, but this had several limitations. The biggest of which was the inability to work with Flash based video. This was a critical link to where I wanted to take this web site. Without Flash or similar technologies I was unable to present a whole host of videos direct from my web site with no redirects, ads while completely controlling copyright.

Now after learning and working with CSS and Flash for some time many other benefits will come, including a richer interface for you the visitor and more interactivity. Updates will now be more consistent and richer in content. So while it may not be the next Facebook, I'm far more happy with the presentation of this web site and like the idea that it's been "professionalized".

Sound Pro Studios as a company is also making big leaps and bounds that will filter into the new site design. Stock footage quantities are continually increasing, more equipment and gear has been added than you can shake a stick at, and projects are in development that will hold several learning experiences.

So browse around the new site and try out all the new features. If you need specific services our brand new and expanded service listings have great information. The freebies and tutorials parts of the site gives you independent producers more good stuff than ever. The galleries section has links to examples of Sound Pro Studios professional works and check the blogs to get the latest news and info. I encourage feedback for adding things you want to see here.

Think of it as a web site that is driven by you…the independent media professional.
